Persona 4 Arena is Planned to be Finally Released in Europe

Atlus´s and Arc System Works´s recent fighting game Persona 4 Arena had a lot of problems to get released in the PAL territorys such as Europe and Australia. These problems occurred because Atlus Japan decided to regionlock the PS3 version of Persona 4 Arena, making it the first regionlocked PS3 game. They did this because they were afraid of Japanese to reverse import the game, because this game is their first release with the choice of Japanese audio in the English version of the Game. The biggest problem was with Atlus not having a Studio in any of the PAL regions so ZEN united stepped forward to localize the game for Europe. Until now they had a few problems with the localization progress and had even to delay the game, but now they have shared the following on their Persona Europe Facebook-account:

“As promised here’s an update on our current progress with Persona 4 Arena. We have now taken delivery of the PS3 EU version of Persona 4 Arena, and we are expecting the Xbox version soon. Once we have both, the next step will be to submit P4A to Sony and Microsoft. At this stage, we’ll be able to estimate a likely release window for you guys – and once it’s been approved by both platform holders, we’ll be able to give you a realistic street date. We will, of course, let you know what stage we are in this process so you can have a clearer idea of when the release date is likely to be.”

Let´s hope we hear from them soon about an official release date, so our European friends will also be able to enjoy this game.
