Yu Suzuki is interested in Continuing Shenmue via Kickstarter

Shenmue

Yu Suzuki, the creator of many SEGA classics like Space Harrier, and Out Run, revealed in a interview by Sebastien-Abdelhamid for French television, he is interested in continuing the story of Shenmue using a crowd-funding site like Kickstarter. He also said in the interview if he continues Shenmue it is not necessarily going to be trough new video games, it could also be trough manga or anime.

Shenmue fans have been waiting for the third installment in the Shenmue franchise for over ten years, because the story ended unresolved with one of the biggest cliffhangers in video game history. Back when Shenmue was released in 1999 it was the most expensive game ever produced, it cost SEGA over 70 million US dollars (That´s around 95 million USD nowadays.) to complete the first two games.
